This year marks a very special milestone – Palmerston District Primary School is celebrating its 30th birthday! To mark the occasion, we’re hosting a fun-filled School Fete on Saturday, 1st November, packed with activities, stalls, entertainment, and plenty of community spirit.
Not only will we be celebrating three decades of learning, friendships, and memories, but we’ll also be fundraising to update and improve our play spaces so every child can enjoy safe, fun, and inspiring areas to play and grow.

30th Birthday Celebration!
Join us for a walk down memory lane with 30 years of Palmerston District Primary School’s history in the Hall of Fame! As well as photos and memorabilia we will have guest appearances from previous teachers and principals, plus it wouldn’t be a birthday without a birthday cake!! Come and join us for the celebration!!
Special Visitors
We’re excited to welcome some very special visitors to this years fete!
✨ Constable Kenny Koala will be stopping by to teach kids about safety in a fun and friendly way.
✨ Our local SES team will be there to show their amazing equipment and share how they help in emergencies.
✨ The Fire Brigade will be rolling in with a fire truck – always a favourite with the kids!
Don’t miss the chance to meet our community heroes, learn something new, and maybe even sit in a real fire truck! 🚨🔥
🌴Best of all will be a special appearance by the kid’s favourite - Palmy!
Live entertainment all day!
Starting the day with First Nations performer, Jack Lowman who will deliver an acknowledgement of country followed by an acoustic set. This will be followed by performances from talented students, local musicians and special guests! With something happening on stage all day, the fete will be buzzing with energy and fun for the whole family.

Cute and Cuddly Petting Zoo
Come along and meet our furry and feathered friends! From roosters to rabbits, miniature goats and sheep, to the star of the show a baby alpaca! Perfect for the kids (or the kids at heart) – a chance to get up close with some adorable animals!
Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos!
Let your imagination run wild with our fantastic face painting stall! Become a tiger, a butterfly, a superhero—or anything you can dream up. If facepainting isn’t your thing then maybe some fun glitter tattoos might do the trick! Fun for all ages and sure to bring smiles all day long!

Become a volunteer
Our school fete is only possible thanks to the amazing support of our parent and community volunteers. Whether you can spare an hour or the whole day, every bit of help makes a difference!
There are plenty of ways to get involved – from setting up stalls, helping with games, selling tickets, serving food, to packing down at the end of the day. Volunteering is also a fun way to meet other families, be part of the action, and help create a memorable event for our kids.
No experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a willingness to pitch in.
